Programme of events 2026-27

From September to July, we run a full calendar of events celebrating French and Francophone culture — perfect whether you’re a confident French speaker or simply curious about France and the wider Francophone world.

Main Programme

Our Main Programme features monthly talks on French culture, society and geography, alongside regular social gatherings. It’s a great way to learn something new each month while meeting fellow Francophiles.

Fringe Programme

For a more relaxed way to get involved, our Fringe Programme includes guided walks, share-a-song evenings, language workshops and games afternoons, hosted at various venues around the area.

Annual French Film Screening

Once a year, we host a French film screening at Broadway Cinema — a firm favourite in our events calendar.

Speak French If You Like

Whatever the event, you’re always welcome to practise your French — no pressure, just an open invitation for those who’d like to.

Get in Touch

Have a question or want to book your place at an event? Contact us — we’d love to hear from you.

All events of the main programme will take place in St Mary’s Church Hall, Wollaton Hall Drive, Nottingham, NG8 1AF.

Talks will be offered in person and on zoom. They will start at 7:30 p.m. You are most welcome to arrive by 7pm to have a drink and mingle!

Don't miss the first talk of the 2026-27 season, all about le Massif de la Chartreuse, the gem of the Alps!

A diverse group of seven people gathered around a wooden table inside a cozy, sunlit Parisian-style café for a French conversation group. They are smiling, laughing, and actively gesturing while speaking. On the table are coffee cups, small bowls of snacks, open notebooks with pens, a tiny French flag, and a small sign that reads "PARLONS FRANÇAIS! French Conversation Group." Through the large glass window behind them, a bustling Paris street is visible, featuring a traditional boulangerie and a café named "Café Le Chat Noir."
